Chase Woolner is a Puppeteer and Puppet Designer based in Los Angeles, California.

Chase Woolner is a writer, director and producer of work that emphasizes the performance, design and function of modern puppetry within the mediums of film, television, theatre and publishing. Within this specialized art form, Chase's goal is to produce captivating and engaging stories while changing the paradigms of what a puppet is and how it functions. Puppets have a remarkable ability to say and do things that cannot be said by an actor or done in any other mediums of performance, which makes the medium a wonderful tool that is very freeing as an entertainment artist.

As a performer Chase’s passion for puppetry started at a young age. Born in Chicago, Illinois he started performing for his classmates in elementary school. Since then Chase has worked and trained with many of the top puppeteers and puppet builders working in film, television and theater.

As a designer, Chase's work for theater has appeared at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival (UK), Chicago Fringe Festival (IL), Los Angeles Fringe Festival (CA), Highways Performance Space and Gallery (CA) and the O'Neill National Puppetry Conference (CT)

Chase is available for both performance and design/construction for special projects on case by case basis. His performance reel and a brief portfolio may be viewed on this website. For additional information concerning projects and his resume please contact him
